Project Portfolio
Examples of Our Work
Residential View Clearing, Dalton, NH
This was one of our first jobs after opening Millbrook Landservices. The owner had lived at this property for over ten years and originally had a spectacular view of the Presidential Range and Cherry Mountain. However, over the years, the forest had grown in and blocked this view. We felled over two acres of trees in around three days to return this view to him and his wife.

Dead Pine Removal, Starr King Church, Plymouth, NH
This project was completed for a Unitarian church in the Lakes Region. The church had installed a solar panel array in their back parking lot area. Unfortunately, a large white pine had gotten struck by lightning and was beginning to drop branches on their valuable investment. We spent a day climbing, rigging, and felling this tree to prevent future damage, and left a large, valuable log that can be milled into lumber.

Hemlock Prune, Campton, NH
We completed this job in the middle of winter for a homeowner with a valuable home on the side of a mountain. He had an impressive view of the southwestern White Mountains, but a cluster of hemlock trees blocked his view of the many spectacular sunsets over these mountains. Rather than remove the trees outright, he requested that we climb and prune them. He was somewhat surprised when we refused to use arborist spurs and climbed with ropes, alone. We never use spikes on trees, unless we plan to remove them. From a business perspective, this job did not go quite as planned. For a variety of reasons, it took far longer than we originally anticipated. However, the owner never knew this. This job is a perfect example of two of our company's main values. First, we will do everything in our power to preserve our client's trees, and always prefer alternatives to removal. Secondly, the price we give you at the start of the project is the final price. We will never come back with a higher bid in the middle of a project (unless the scope of work changes), no matter what unforeseen circumstances arise.

Affordability and Responsibility
At Millbrook Landservices, we believe in providing the most value to our clients and minimizing our impact (or even improving) the properties we serve. Most tree and landscaping companies you see have invested hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars to purchase the newest and most efficient equipment for large jobs. At Millbrook, we have a different philosophy. We refuse to incur large amounts of debt that raises our overhead and requires increasing our hourly rate to our clients. We prefer to purchase and maintain used equipment in order to keep our costs down and pass these savings on. Additionally, it is far more environmentally responsible to repair existing gear than to purchase brand new.

When working on any project, the condition of our client's properties is a high priority to us. We strive to leave your land in better condition than we found it. Whether this is removing large quantities of brush after a wind storm, improving aesthetics through new landscape installations or hazard tree removal, or helping you create a new small business or hobby with maple sugaring, we strive to understand the wishes of our clients fully and execute them to the best of our ability. We believe that forested properties are our state and region's most valuable asset. As such, we take pride in assisting their owners to preserve and improve them for future generations. If you think we can assist you with your land, please reach out. We look forward to working with you!
